Cat is a literature PhD student at the University of Delaware. Her research centers on adaptation(s) of the "Female" Gothic, and, broadly, the representation of women in adaptation(s) of Gothic fiction. Cat is also a part-time copywriter at Westside Family Healthcare, where she assists the external affairs team with writing assignments as-needed. These assignments include writing fundraising materials, grant applications, and other external copy.
As a PhD student, Cat teaches undergraduate composition courses. Her teaching positions adaptation and rewriting as a rhetorical strategy, to encourage students to apply critical reading and writing skills across disciplines.
