Middletown School District is launching a district-wide Social Emotional Learning program in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses.
Angela Kladias is a School Psychology graduate student and Graduate Research Assistant. She began working with the BHWET program in her role as a program GRA. She is now a BHWET participant and works in the SEW Lab.
BHWET recently held a Mental Health Careers Fair at Dayton Public Schools to educate students on paths into mental health fields. Our team shared information about Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling, School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Psychiatry to high school students. Each student was able to engage in interactive activities unique to each profession including the WAISC intelligence test, breathing techniques for stress and anxiety, processing speed activities, and goal setting activities.
Participating students were able to speak about their interest in mental health fields and how mental health skills can be transferred into any career!
