USDOT PHMSA CAAP Project 1:
A Framework and Integrated Solution of a Dynamic Pipeline Hazard and Risk Data Repository for All Pipelines -
(PHMSA Funded Project 693JK32450004CAAP)
Risk Data Repository and Analysis
Database Framework
Oil and gas pipeline geological and hydrological hazard risk assessment.
Leveraging a multidisciplinary research team, the project will utilize publicly available sources, including climate data, geological/geohazard data, and remote sensing data from government agencies such as NOAA, USGS, and NASA via open-source platforms.
•Improve pipeline data management and analytics methodologies by integrating publicly available climate and geological/geotechnical data into existing pipeline database with most updated and effective information regarding risk and safety.
•Deliver a robust and tested database framework and software prototype (preliminary data-model interface and updating tools) that can be fit into existing industry database and risk models and facilitate a smooth knowledge/technic transferring.
Risk Evaluation
