You have 9 Weeks to Graduate!

Hello Scholars! Hope you all had a relaxing weekend and are ready to accelerate on your learning journey because as you know you now have 9 Weeks to Graduate and the countdown has begun!

First of all, would like to clarify a concern that many of you shared:

The extended deadline of Phase 2 which is Nov 30th might still not be reflected in your Classrooms but it is an official extension and will be soon reflected there! So don’t worry if your classroom still says Sept 24th/25th as deadline.

If you are planning to submit any projects please go ahead and do that! Your submission will not be affected by the deadline displayed in your classroom.

Secondly as mentioned we are starting with the Project Walkthroughs this week! BUT………..

The mentors need your help in understanding what are the major pain points and blockers for every project. Therefore we request each one of you to share in depth about all the issues in every project that you are working on or you had worked on previously!

The amount of feedback and suggestions you share will determine how useful and thorough these Project Walkthroughs are therefore SHARE ALL YOUR PROJECT RELATED TECHNICAL ISSUES >>>> HERE

First Project Walkthrough for Cloud Track is scheduled on:

Wed, Sept 29 at 8:45 AM PT | 3:45 PM GMT | 9:15 PM IST

  • By Mentor: Dhruv Kinger

Stay tuned !

Hello Scholars! Welcome to the Phase 2 Slack Community!

First of all, I have to admit that I am super-thrilled to get to collaborate with all of you again as your Community Manager. I truly aspire for all of you to conclude this amazing journey of Bertelsmann Scholarship at the apex by the end of Phase 2. This translates into each one of you earning your graduations from your nanodegree program that you earned after all your hard work in Phase 1.

And I know that together we can get there!

First off, a few notes to help you get upto speed:

Phase 2 Deadline Extended!

  • Just a reminder that the Phase 2 deadline has been extended. Now the Phase 2 deadline is Nov 30th, 2021. Which means you have 2 more months to pass all of your projects - to gain in-demand skills from your Nanodegree program!

Hop into your Udacity classroom!

  • Now or never! Jump back into your Udacity Classroom today itself to gauge your current progress and start planning your schedule to complete the ND by Nov 30th.

Next are the additional technical resources that are being specially curated for this community to help you progress and graduate from your ND. Would highly recommend ALL OF YOU to make the maximum use of these :

  • Top Mentors in Knowledge - You might be aware of Knowledge platform where you can get answers for any of your technical questions regarding the nanodegree by expert mentors. To further aid you in this, the top mentors in each of the three NDs are being called upon to cater to all your questions in Knowledge. So jump in Knowledge today and find answers to all your technical questions!

  • Project Prep Webinars - Projects are the backbones of Udacity’s ND programs and sometimes it could be complex to understand all the processes involved in going through and completing a project. Which is exactly why, the Program Experience Managers of Udacity will take you through the project submission process - what to expect before, during, and after your project has been submitted.

Wednesday, Sept 22nd, 2021 (Event details coming soon!)

  • Technical Project Walkthroughs - Again, top mentors from the NDs are being called upon to conduct Project Walkthroughs for each of the technical projects involved. Major pain-points for a particular project will be gathered through a survey from the community and the mentor will cover these in the respective walkthrough for that project.

Starting Week of Sept 27th!

I will keep you posted about the schedules and updates on these resources! In case you have any program related questions you can tag me (@Palak.Udacity) in the #general_discussion_all channel. For any technical questions, you can always rely on Knowledge. And I will soon be back with the detailed Phase 2 Calendar!
