Have you joined our Accenture community yet?
Accenture and Udacity are joining forces to offer 600 fully funded scholarships to train and empower members of underrepresented communities without a four-year degree and to reshape the tech industry in America.
Youāll be able to access your Challenge Course directly in your classroom on December 6th. That will give you plenty of time to get through all the material over the 8-week Challenge duration.
No, you do not have to pay any fees for the Accenture Scholarship Program.
The program language for the Accenture Scholarship Program is English.
There are no prerequisites for enrollment.
The program is two-phased. Phase 1 is designed to run from December 6th until January 31st. Phase 2 is designed to run from February 21st until May 10th. However, it is important to note that the program is self-paced, you can finish it in less than the designed duration if you wish.
The single biggest recommendation we have is to plan for and create intentional space for your learning that will fit best with your schedule and life.
Students who are most successful share with us that they make consistent progress in our programs by setting specific and measurable goals that they can hold themselves accountable for and the key is to make this a routine for themselves. Though this may not be technical preparation for a program, this is key to success in an online learning environment.
The Accenture Scholarship Program starts on Monday, December 6, 2021 and lasts for 8 weeks, until January 31st, 2022. At the end of this period, we will select the top 600 students who will receive a further Scholarship to complete a full Nanodegree in Udacity's Intro to Programming or Predictive Analytics Nanodegree Programs.
This course is self-paced and 100% online - which means that there is no schedule. You can simply go through the course material at your own pace. We estimate that you should spend an average of 3-5 hours on your course and coursework each week - some will need more time, some less.
Once the course has begun, participants can study on their own schedule as long as they complete the course in the predefined time. Complete access to the course, directly in the classroom, is available 24 hours a day. We understand that students have different schedules and will work on their course at different times and on different days. Whatās important is that students make constant progress each and every week, and successfully complete all the content before the end of the course.
Students who successfully receive the Certification of Completion are eligible to take the Challenge Filtration Assessment for their corresponding Nanodegree Program scholarship. To do so, eligible students must register their interest in taking the Filtration Assessment from within the graduation email they receive after Certification. Assessment details and instructions are found in the āCertificate of Completion and Final Assessmentā section in your classroom. Once the assessment is available on February 1st, 2022 (the assessment date), the link to take the assessment will be sent through email only to graduates who register their interest. You will need to register your interest for the Final Assessment before January 31, 2022 and sit for the Final Assessment before February 3rd, 2022. There are no other days that this Assessment will take place. Accordingly, students who sit for the Final Assessment will then go through a selection process based on their score and selected candidates will be shortlisted for the Nanodegree Program scholarship.
This program aims to enable underrepresented communities in technology, with a focus on those from Black and Latinx communities, women, military veterans, and members of our non-profit partners. Participants in this program will also be eligible for employment opportunities at Accenture offices located in Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin, and other U.S-based locations. Preference will be given to candidates who meet the criteria above.
Students will only be eligible for one attempt at passing the Challenge Assessment, per Nanodegree track over the 48-hour period when the Challenge Assessment is live. This is your way of competing for the Nanodegree program in phase 2.
You should maintain the same email address you used to apply for the Accenture Scholarship Program for the duration of your entire course in order to maintain eligibility for this Nanodegree program.
There are no withdrawal or postponing options after you are enrolled in any of the phases. You should only join this program if you are committed to learning and graduating within the defined timeline of the program.
As part of Phase 1, there is one summative assessment per track called the Certification Assessment, which you must pass in order to get certified for the second phase of the program. Additionally, you must pass a Challenge Assessment prior to being enrolled in phase 2 of the program.
