The Skilled Trades Empowerment Program awards scholarships monthly throughout the academic school year. Our scholarships are open to students who live and attend school in New Jersey and are looking to pursue a post-secondary education in the skilled trades. Chosen scholarship recipients will be awarded $2,000 to help offset tuition, equipment purchases for apprenticeship or other education related needs required to begin a career in the skilled trades.

The National High School Oratorical Contest is open to junior high and high school students who are under the age of 20 and are citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States. To be considered, you must prepare an oration on some aspect of the U.S. Constitution, with emphasis on a citizen's duties and obligations to our government. A complete list of topics are available on the Legion's Web site. Each individual state winner certified into and participating in the first round of the national contest receives a $2,000 scholarship.

The Life Lessons Scholarship Program, sponsored by Life Happens, provides financial assistance to students who have experienced the loss of a parent or legal guardian and face financial hardship due to limited or no life insurance coverage. If you meet the eligibility requirements, apply between February 1 and March 1 to share your story and secure funding for college.

We've taken our California student video contest and expanded it across the U.S. High school students are invited to create a fun and informative short video (60 seconds max) highlighting the ways special districts ‘Make the Difference’ in local communities across the US for a chance to win a scholarship. Additional prize money will be given to the teachers of the winning students to promote technology and support distance learning.

The We The Future Contest is open to high school and college students. To enter, you must submit an essay, song, STEM project, short film, social media video, or PSA on a given topic related to the Constitution.

The RISE UP Challenge Scholarship is available to high school senior, college freshman, and college sophomore students who are helping to end bullying in their schools and communities. To apply, you must join the Humanity Rising Movement as a student member (free). Additionally, you must share your story in writing or create and upload a 60-second video using the hashtag #riseupchallenge? This can just be you talking, or you can get creative and share pictures of your service or idea. Most importantly, speak from your heart!
