About Mrs. Cooke

Hi Everyone! My name is Tracey Cooke and I am teaching fourth grade at United Community School this year. I have been with UCS since it opened, in 2014, and I am so excited for the opportunity to continue working with the students and staff at UCS.

As a young student I really loved my second and third grade teachers and it was during those years that I first thought of becoming a teacher. I went straight through school, with that as my focus, and earned a degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I taught in four different schools in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school system before joining the UCS family.

So, now, here we are and this is my 24th year of teaching! I live about 30 minutes, outside of Charlotte, where I enjoy the "small town life" with my wonderful husband and a precious little dog that we adopted three years ago. I enjoy reading, traveling, artistic activities, muscle cars, church activities, gardening and spending time with family and friends. I'm so excited about my fifth year at UCS!
