In MAE 156, the senior capstone class, a student project took shape around the intricate mechanics of a grandfather clock. With guidance from professors and collaboration with peers, the Jacobs Hall clock became a reality.
Years of exposure to the elements have caused extensive rust and water damage to the clock’s framework.
To preserve this student-built landmark and return it to safe, working condition, dedicated funds are needed for structural repair, rust mitigation, and long-term protection.
