To get involved with the club, all you have to do is come to our events! Attending at least 2 events per quarter will qualify you as a general member of the club. If you are interested in getting involved in leadership, please read below!
QT Core is the central organizational body (executive board) of QT*POC. Members are registered as principal members with the CSI (center of student involvement) and have the following responsibilities:
Weekly board meetings
Event facilitation
Funding requests and submitting TAPs
Outreach to other organizations and clubs for collaboration
Managing the social media
Fulfilling any duties required for affiliate programs such as APIMEDA and the LGBT Resource Center
How do I join?
QT Core applications next school year typically become available at the end of Winter quarter. Interviews happen during the Spring, and onboarding occurs towards the end of Spring and during the beginning of Fall.
QT Core members are also required to complete the CSI Principal Member registration process that opens during the Summer.
General board members are not necessarily principal members of the org. As such, the commitment required to be a general board member is much lower compared to QT Core. The General Board works together with QT Core to manage ongoing projects, events, and community engagement.
How do I join?
General Board recruitment happens at any point in time during the school year depending on need and active projects. We have different committees that you can join: social, educational, resource library management (archival), and outreach. This is where you can bring your ideas for our community into fruition with support from other QTPOC members.
