Upon your hiring, you will have been sent an email that contained your UCSD Active Directory account information, UCSD Email information, a Temporary Password, and the link that directed you here. Please note that you will need to use your Temporary Password to log into duo-registration.ucsd.edu the first time as you will need to set up DUO before resetting your password for the first time. With that disclaimer out of the way, please see the following:
Install the Duo app on your device (iPhone - App Store or Android Phone - Play Store)
Visit the registration page (duo.ucsd.edu) and log in with your credentials.
When you see the screen below, click Start setup to get going.
3. Choose the type of device to add. Using a mobile phone as your primary device is highly recommended because it provides the most seamless two-step login experience, and you will probably always have your mobile phone close at hand.
a. Select the button and click Continue.
4. Enter the mobile phone's number, click the check box to confirm, and click Continue.
5. Verify your Phone number is correct.
You'll be prompted to install the Duo mobile app (if you haven't already). See instructions above.
a. Once the app is installed, click I have Duo Mobile installed.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to open your Duo app and scan the barcode that appears on screen. You may need to grant Duo permission to access your camera.
a. This is the key step that ties your identity to your device!
8. Congratulations! You've enrolled your device.
