Many students are now facing the often daunting challenge of writing and refining personal statements for job, school, and fellowship applications. The UCSD Department of Cognitive Science is hosting an informal virtual panel to discuss ways in which students can highlight their personal experiences, celebrate their unique cultures, and advocate for themselves in personal statements. During the workshop, faculty and graduate student panelists will discuss strategies, answer questions, and share their own experiences writing and reviewing graduate personal statements.
