Future Directions

Since our project was rather open-ended, we feel there are many additions that could be made to our dashboard. Below are some of our recommendations: 

1. Incorporate EHR data from Epic

• Would be useful to incorporate electronic health record data from Epic as it is the most used software by hospitals in the U.S.

• Would bring patient histories, medication schedules, lab results, vitals, and more to the dashboard

2. Adding a login feature

• Currently we're only able to display one prototype user

• Would need to increase security if increasing user capacity

• Ultimately would enable numerous users to analyze their health journies using our dashboard

3. Automated integration of data from patient calendars

1. • Highly requested by patients

   • Need to aggregate both digital and paper calendars into a single usable format
