Incorporate lubricant for sliders
Retest current design with another cadaver, specifically another section of the spine
Future DirectionsÂ
Our fixture is currently positioned manually and has no way to measure the force experienced by the spine segment. In order to make the workflow for the fixture much simpler, in the future, we want to automate positioning by incorporating motors or actuators into the design. On top of that, we want to incorporate load cells to look at the difference in force experienced by the spine before and after an implant is inserted.
