Adapted by Hans & Peter Bloedel
From the Washington Irving Tale
America’s first great ghost story, Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow follows the quirky and superstitious antics of schoolmaster Ichabod Crane, who is haunted by the dreaded Headless Horseman. This imaginative adaptation stays true to the world that Irving creates in this American gothic tale, but adds a lyrical quality that further enhances the humor, the magic, and the terror.
This is the UCHS Theatre Department's Competitioin show. They will travel to Ringgold,GA Oct. 27 and perform with 7 other schools with different shows. They have 55 mins to setup, perform, and tear down the set.

Two Chairs & a Lie:
Mr. Saucy, a poodle, is missing and Detective Dennis is going to need all of his investigative skills to find it. All you’ll need to put on this absurdly funny play are two chairs and a willingness to be utterly silly. From a bandit who may or may not be a mime, to a dentist who practices in a mobile location, the suspects are anything but “usual.” There’s also dancing, clowns, and an iguana named Teddy… Well, two of those things are true. The other is a complete lie.
Poisoned in the Garden:
It seems everyone has a reason for wanting the old lady dead, but who actually killed her? Was it her daughter? Her hairstylist? The dog walker? Flashback scenes and crafty interrogation will help the detectives crack the case of who poisoned Edna in her garden.

Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical Jr.
Rebellion is nigh in Matilda JR., a gleefully witty ode to the the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination!
This story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson.
Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers! She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey.
Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!
