Karen Massey is the theatre arts teacher and musical theatre director at Union County Middle School. She had been with Union County since 2015.
Theatre arts is available at UCMS to any students 6th through 8th grade. Each student registered for the class will be involved in a stage production.
The best way to learn is by doing. Each year the middle school department presents up to 9 shows in the beautiful Union County Schools Fine Arts Center.
UCMS is the home of International Junior Thespian Troupe #89465. Students earn entrance into the society through excellence in theatre work by participating in shows and other theatre work.

Jr. Thespian is a subset of The International Thespian Society (ITS), which is the honor society for secondary school theatre students. Membership is granted for the performance of meritorious work in theatre arts.
