On May 23rd, the Climate Coalition hosted he "Collage the World the Wish to See" with the Humanities Institute in Rachel Carson College. Students imagined a future they desire while having artistic fun.

On April 21st, UCSC students walked out of their classes in protest for more aggressive climate action by the UC. We were joined by middle and high schoolers as we marched through Downtown Santa Cruz.

On April 18th, UCSC Climate Coalition Steering Members Amber Khan and Josiah Macken hosted a bake sale outside of Science and Engineering Library to promote our events and fundraise.

On April 7th, UCSD Psychology Professor Adam Aron came to UCSC to give a talk on his newest book "The Climate Crisis" and joined the UCSC Climate Coalition for dinner afterward.

On March 7th, UCSC Climate Coalitions members toured the Cogeneration Plant on campus to understand how it contributes to UCSC's carbon emissions by burning fracked methane.

On February 16th, UCSC Climate Coalitions members hosted a relaxing and fun movie night by screening Nausicaä: Valley of the Wind which has an important theme of environmentalism. 

On February 16th, UCSC Climate Coalition members met with Chancellor Larive to discuss how UCSC can better support and fund student-faculty-staff organizations and spaces.

On November 19th, the UCSC Climate Coalition hosted our first annual Beyond the Bullsh*t Climate Conference in Rachel Carson College. This was an all day event  to educate students on climate change.

On November 11th, UCSC Climate Coalition hiked into UCSC Upper Campus to pick up trash while having a restorative day out in nature. This gave students a deserved break during midterms.

On October 22nd, UCSC Climate Coalition members hosted our first bake sale. The bake sale was held outside of Cowell/Stevenson Dining Hall and we helped publicize the Climate Conference.

In May 2022, the UCSC Climate Coalition met with Chancellor Larive to discuss our goals of electrification and decarbonization. As a result, the Electrification and Decarbonization taskforce was created.

On April 22nd 2022, the UCSC Climate Coalition hosted our first Earth Day Teach-In and Rally. UCSC students walked out of their classes and marched to celebrate Earth Day and demand change at UCSC.
