Future Directions:
Explored TE age classification in cancer datasets
Found that evolutionarily older TEs are more commonly retained in cancerous samples
Patterns may point to their potential as stable biomarkers
In future work, aim to expand analysis to other cancer types
Investigate how TEs contribute to gene regulation and tumor progression
Integrating expression data and functional annotations, can better understand the roles TEs play in cancer
