We are a graduate student run organization that works to build and support a close network of queer-identifying STEM persons. We aim to broaden their representation and visibility and ultimately provide a more inclusive picture of people in STEM.
To do this we, we host regular community building events, bring in scientists from across the US to hold seminars and professional development workshops, raise funds to send trainees to national conferences, and partner with other student groups at UC Santa Cruz.
oSTEM hosted a bonfire with the GSA to kick off the new academic year and welcome incoming students to UCSC!
