Giving Day

Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising event supporting students, organizations, research, resources, and more at UC Santa Cruz. The biggest day of giving is powered by matches and challenges to incentivize participation and rewards teams on the number of donors, best social media presence, and more. 

Donors that provide 1:1 matches for Giving Day projects amplify participation and encourage more donors to support Giving Day projects. A match donor commits to an amount they are willing to match up to, doubling the impact of gifts to that project. Any dollars not matched will be donated to the project team at the conclusion of Giving Day. 

The programs and services described here are open to all, consistent with state and federal law, as well as the University of California’s nondiscrimination policies.
