Plan ahead for your visit! Parking on campus is limited, so we encourage families to carpool, use ride-sharing services, or take public transit to help reduce congestion. Learn about parking options, permits, and locations to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience during Family Weekend at UC Santa Cruz.
General campus parking is not included in your Family Weekend ticket. We encourage all participants joining us on campus for Saturday and Sunday programs to park in the EAST REMOTE lot (Lot 104) and walk (or take the shuttle) to Quarry Plaza. Parking in this lot on Friday after 5 pm and all weekend is free.
Because campus parking is limited, we strongly encourage all participants to carpool, take public transportation, or use rideshare options when possible.
Additional No-Permit Parking After 5 pm and Weekends
Parking permits are not required in the East (Lot 104) and West (Lot 127) Remote lots after 5:00 pm weekdays or during weekends. In addition, most of the lots near the base of campus don't require permits after 5 pm on weekdays or weekends:
Carriage House (Lot 115)
Campus Facilities (Lot 116)
Granary (Lot 118)
Cardiff House (Lot 151)
Please check the UCSC Parking Map for details, and always double-check the enforcement hours on each parking lot entry sign.
Park Mobile
ParkMobile is available at limited locations on the residential campus, Coastal Science Campus, and Westside Research Park. Visit the UCSC Park Mobile page for more information.
