About Us

EquiL was founded in Spring 2022 by now UCSC alumna Stephanie Rich and Lalitha Balachandran. We are a project-focused group, whose primary goal is to create concrete and sustainable practices to foster equity in our department and field. Our projects and events to-date have largely focused on ways to improve equity within the UCSC linguistics department.
