We had a lovely trip with light rain showers and rainbows everyday but also plenty of blue sky and snorkeling. Here you will find the non-bird photos from the trip. You can find the bird photos here.
One of four snorkeling bays within a few minutes walk from our hotel. This one is Honokeana. It had many turtles and few people.
I really liked what the water action as done to this lava. I wonder if some of this was due to some kind of boiling action when this lava cooled.
That's a crescent moon in the sky. The picture doesn't do it justice.
Linda takes most of the flower pictures, but this one was a bit unusual so I shot it as well.
A young monk seal on the beach. It came ashore several days. Whenever it did, a person was posted to keep beachgoers away from that end of the beach. This was at Kapalua Bay Beach.
This is a mature Monk Seal. A researcher had just put skin dye on it so that they could more easily track it.
Don't forget to check out my other bird photos from this trip. This is a Wedge-tailed Shearwater, the only type of native bird we came across. The Hawaiian name for them is Ua'u Kani.
