Covid protocol

We encourage everyone to take a covid test a day or two before the conference. Please stay home if you are feeling sick. 

Wearing a mask is encouraged, but not required. Masks will be provided at the conference.

The Seymour Center has beautiful views of the ocean. Please stay on the trails if you walk around and do not disturb any wildlife you may encounter.

Parking at the conference

When you pass the entrance to the coastal campus, drive all the way down until you see the whale skeleton. 

Park in the lot directly in front of the Seymour Center (lot 201). 

For visitors: Parking attendants will located at the entrance of the coastal campus from 8:30 AM-12:00 PM. Give them your name. If your name is not on the list, they may ask for ID.

For UCSC participants: A and B parking permits are allowed.

Park Mobile is also an option, but you will need to download the app.

*  If the 201 parking lot is full, park in one of the other lots (203, 204, 205) after picking up your permit.

Lunch, etc.

We will provide lunch  boxes. Choices were available during registration. There will probably be extra boxes, but if you did not choose a meal option, please bring your own lunch just in case.

Coffee, tea and water will also be provided.

Internet

This location has eduroam. This is a secure network.

You can also set up a UCSC guest account, but this is not a secure network.

The phone service is good at this location.

Dinner/Mixer

Dinner will be provided Monday night Sept 18th and Tuesday night Sept 19th at the Humble Sea Brewing secret garden. Drink tickets will be provided.

Meals will be catered by Taqueria Santa Cruz. 

Lodging

Lodging for select participants will be at the Fairfield on Mission. 

This is within a mile (or so) of the Seymour Center and Humble Sea Brewing and other restaurants.
