Hi!
I’m Aslan Gilman — a Game Design student at the University of California, Santa Cruz. My creative focus centers on character design, with strong inspiration drawn from fantasy costuming and historical fashion. I’m particularly interested in how clothing, material culture, and construction techniques communicate story and worldbuilding.
Beyond illustration, I bring my designs into the physical world through costume construction, working with fabric, findings, and found objects to better understand how design aspects represent identity and function in digital worlds. This hands-on approach strengthens both the authenticity and technical grounding of my character work.
My technical skills and experience are outlined in my resume below.
