Cricket is the main sport at UCS during the summer term. The school’s sporting values of hard work, team first and always improving are at the forefront of our cricket provision.
In the Lower School, all of the boys will learn the fundamentals skills and principles of the game which is put into practice in a competitive environment through an internal softball tournament played throughout the summer. This also provides the opportunity to make new friends within their year groups while competing as a team towards a common goal.
All of our year groups in the Lower and Middle School play A and B teams fixtures against other schools every Saturday alongside competing in regional and national cup competitions throughout the summer. C and D teams play in midweek matches. Our 1st XI attend a three day festival at the end of the summer term at various locations around the UK.
The uniqueness of Cricket provides the opportunity for UCS students to experience the individual highs and lows of playing sports in a team setting. Building their resilience, humbleness and compassion.
