The University of California emphasizes that integrating generative AI into instruction must prioritize faculty autonomy, disciplinary flexibility, and responsible data stewardship. This group supports faculty developers and instructional designers in navigating the ethical, pedagogical, and administrative challenges of AI in teaching and learning. We share strategies and resources to adapt to AI in teaching and learning: campus guidance documents, faculty workshops, and ideas for other ways of supporting teaching in the age of AI.
The AI in Teaching and Learning working group is led by Tara Mason, UDL Consultant UC Berkeley and Mindy Colin, Associate Director of Digital Pedagogy, UC Santa Barbara
