Research Experiences for Undergraduates, also known as REUs, are competitive research programs for undergraduate students. These programs are typically several weeks long in the summer and are hosted at various universities. Application season is normally during winter and spring quarters (January-March)!

Research in Science & Engineering (RISE) Program
Eligibility:
Current UCR undergraduates or newly admitted UCR transfers
Minimum GPA of 3.0, evaluated after winter 2024 grades post
Available in-person to fulfill program requirements and expectations
CAMP Scholars
Eligibility:
Be currently accepted to do research under a UCR STEM faculty lab for 10-12 hours weekly during the quarter
Be African American, Chicano, Latino, Native American, or Pacific Islander (Pacific Peoples from Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, Cook Islands, and other islands in Polynesia)
UCR Undergraduate in good academic standing
Minimum GPA of 2.7
Be a Declared STEM Major
Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
Intend to pursue a Masters or Ph.D. in a STEM field after graduation
Chancellor's Research Fellowship (CRF)
Eligibility:
Be a sophomore or junior standing
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Engaged in faculty mentored research/scholarship/creative activity
Attend one CRF Application Workshop
MARC @ UC Riverside
Eligibility:
Current freshman, sophomore, or junior planning to take a 5th year
FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM for underrepresented minority, economically disadvantaged, or mental/or physically impaired students interested in pursuing a PhD or MD/PhD in Biomedical or Behavioral Science related fields post UCR graduation.
Digital Agricultural Fellowship (DAF)
Eligibility:
Current UCR or partnering institutions Undergraduate
Minimum GPA of 3.0
Majors include: Data Science, Environmental Science, Agriculatural Sciences and/or Engineering (focus on environmental, agricultural, and sustainability)
May include: Computer Science, Entomology, Mathematics, etc.
Sophomore or Junior year of their undergraduate degree and committed to the 15-month fellowship
U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident
