The Riverside Instructional Observatory (RIO) is a telescope facility in the Mojave Desert dedicated to education and outreach.  Located at the Goat Mountain Astronomical Research Station, which is owned and operated by the Riverside Astronomical Society, RIO hosts a remotely operable 14" Schmidt Cassegrain telescope for imaging and spectroscopy.  I established RIO as part of a CAREER award from the National Science Foundation.
