Partners
Is your organization working on solving critical data challenges?
The Data Science Summer Fellowship is a 8-week program that trains students and recent graduates while giving them the opportunity to work on a data science project with a company, state, government or nonprofit partner. We are looking for partners that are ready and eager to collaborate on a data science project with a team of bright, motivated students and recent graduates mentored by Computer Science and Statistics faculty and graduate students. We expect partners to (1) define a data-oriented project and provide a dataset (when applicable) , (2) allocate 1 hours per week during the summer fellowship to provide the team direction or feedback. Partners who are not local can meet with the team and faculty mentor through Zoom.
What do you get as a Project Partner?
Each team is made up of 3-5 data science fellows plus a faculty / graduate student mentor. Teams dedicate 8-weeks to the fellowship and work ~40hrs/week. The program usually results in deliverables that are a combination of analysis, reports, predictive models, and software prototypes. We will share all findings plus the code with the partner.
