Over the past 25 years, I have taught every grade level from Kindergarten to Eighth grade in various teaching environments, from a suburban therapeutic day school to the Chicago Public Schools to my previous role as a first-grade assistant teacher at Lab.   After receiving my undergraduate degree from Bradley University, I spent the first part of my teaching career working as a special education teacher.  I pursued my passion for science by completing the University of Chicago Sesame program, earning a general science & secondary education endorsement, and taking on the role of a 5th and 6th-grade science teacher.  As someone who values life-long learning, I recently completed a master’s degree in literacy.  I am also the proud parent of two Lab students and the spouse of a middle school faculty member.  I couldn’t be more excited to take on my role as your child’s 4th-grade Science teacher.
