The Muse Behind the Publication: 

The Scribe is a multimedia journal aimed at giving voice to individuals who have experienced or witnessed illness firsthand. Going back to the one of the founders of medicine, the philosopher Hippocrates, we aim to give an outlet to patients, physicians, and their loved ones from their suffering through creative expression. To remind us that historically, medicine was meant to be practiced as a form of healing and tenderness to alleviate suffering for human beings and to inject humanity as the main cure for disease.
