Strategies for Improving Language & Style Conventions When Planning and Drafting

While you are researching your topic, taking notes, brainstorming, planning, and drafting your work, focus on the ideas you would like to present. What's your message? What evidence are you presenting? Because people can only focus on one cognitively demanding task at a time, it is best to focus on your ideas and message when you are planning and drafting your work. You can focus on language and style when you evaluate, revise and edit your writing.
