UCI's Campus Writing & Communication Coordinator has developed the UDW rubric. It focuses on four major areas essential for effective writing and communication: critical thinking and analysis, the use of evidence and/or research, development and structure, and the generic and disciplinary use of language and conventions. This is a highly flexible rubric that you may encounter in your Education Science courses.
