Abstract Submission

Talk and Workshop abstract submissions are closed.

Poster abstracts are to be submitted with the meeting registration.

Talk Abstract submission (400 word abstract) - 15 minutes + 5 min for questions

Talks will showcase more developed ideas, projects, and work nearing publication. Emphasis is on communicating robust findings using tried and tested instruments and protocols.

Workshop Proposal submission - 90 minutes

Workshops should be interactive, participant-centered, and include minimal lecturing from the facilitators. The workshop proposal rubric can be found here (Rubric). Workshops will help participants do one of the following:

  1. Develop discipline-based education research (DBER) skills and/or
  2. Translate research findings into evidence-based teaching practices in the classrooms.
  3. Learn from a panel or discussion about issues pertinent to the STEM education community (TA and faculty training, graduate student transitions to postdoc/faculty, partnerships between CCs and universities, etc). If choosing this option, indicate who will be facilitating and what format you will use.

Poster Abstract submission (400 word abstract) - posters are to be 48 x 36 inches

Poster information will be submitted with your registration. This includes the poster title, authors, authors' institutions, and up to a 400 word abstract.
