Introduction

As a Computer Science major, and someone who has always loved Math more than English, I tend to view the world from a more logistic point of view. Thus, I often find that my writing begins with stating the facts before I embark on any kind of analysis or reflection. In the past two quarters of HumCore, I have been challenged to deeply analyze many different types of literature from various time periods, regions, and cultures. In Activities 1 through 6, I have laid out my best effort to think critically about these texts, as guided by different assignment prompts. Finally, as I work through the research project of Spring quarter, I'll document the process in various blog posts, beginning with brainstorming and culminating in a complete research paper...enjoy.
