Themes: resistance; resilience; healing; land and people struggle
Artist Salvador Barajas created the poster for the 35th Chicano Park Day celebration. The theme for the year was "La guerra está aqui," (The war is here). This was a reference to the ongoing "War on terrorism," which affected border communities as Homeland Security began launching invesitagation in the name of national security.
