Mario Torero created the 30th anniversary Chicano Park Day celebration poster, which depicts several generations of Chicano culture, power, and resistance. The poster shows traditional dancers on the kiosk, with a guitarist above, a woman in a traditional dress and a man in a working shirt, and two children holding a book and using a computer, among other important pieces of imagery.
This Union Tribune article reminisces on the formation of the park 30 years later, and expresses the continued importance it holds to the Logan community and the Chicano movement.
