Hello, internet-dweller! We have been reading Giovanni Boccaccio's Decameron. This book is a frame narrative, meaning there are stories told within stories. Totaling 100 stories told over 10 days by several narrators, and a narrator on the outside, reading The Decameron can get a bit confusing. Personally it motivates me to focus more closely to the text. Within each frame of the book, Boccaccio masterfully creates different worlds through this piece of literature. Come and read about my thoughts about Boccaccio's literary worlds and spaces within the beautiful UCI campus!
