If you are planning to fly in, we recommend arriving at Sacramento airport (SMF). Davis is approximately a 20 minute drive from SMF and traffic is typically light .  The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) iis another option and is approximately an 80-minute drive under light traffic conditions, though travel times can increase significantly during periods of heavy traffic. 

The campus is also well connected via Amtrak rail service, with direct links to Sacramento Valley Station and is convenient for onward connections to the San Francisco Bay Area via BART.

For those driving, University of California, Davis is located just south of Interstate 80. Visitors traveling from the Bay Area or Sacramento can take Interstate 80 to the Richards Boulevard or UC Davis exits for direct access to campus. Davis is also easily reached via Interstate 5 and State Route 99, which connect the region to major cities throughout Northern California.
