Yes! Our interview panel reviews each candidate holistically. While our internship has a GPA requirement in place, we will not eliminate an applicant from the recruitment process solely for their academic standing.
No problem, just list your current canvas grade in your application!
Of course! Although we highly recommend that our students apply for the internship as soon as possible, students who took the class in previous terms are more than welcome to apply for the position as long as they have received a B or higher in the class.
Absolutely not! Several of our current Teaching Assistants (Readers) joined the team during their freshman and sophomore years.
No worries! We do our best to work around your class schedule. However, you must still commit to the weekly 9 hour requirement.
Through the PLS 021 program, interns will have the opportunity to practice their public speaking skills, strengthen their understanding of computer programs, improve their communication skills, meet likeminded students, and learn about several professional and campus involvement opportunities outside of PLS 021.
While we cannot disclose any details regarding our interview process to students, we recommend that all applicants show up to their interview well-dressed and prepared to share about what they have written down on their application.
