The Northern California Aerospace Symposium (NCAS) is an annual research seminar that connects leading researchers, faculty, and students within the aerospace and aeronautics field across Northern California.
Led by researchers from UC Davis, Stanford, and UC Berkeley, NCAS cultivates a regional research ecosystem focused on pioneering advancements in aerospace technology. We invite submissions for both oral talks and poster presentations that showcase cutting-edge and novel research in fields related to astronautics and aeronautics. This includes, but is not limited to, topic areas such as aerodynamics, flight GNC, telecommunications, thermal management, sustainable fuels and electrification, nuclear technologies, structures, mechatronics, artificial intelligence, in-space manufacturing, and more.
Established in 2024 as the Bay Area Aero Fest, NCAS serves to provide a platform that fosters active collaborative research in Northern California to push the boundaries of current aerospace knowledge and technologies.
Fees: No cost to participants. Travel support is unlikely to be available.
Food/Drink: This event will provide lunch, snacks, and a happy hour with the posters that will be covered with thanks to support from our sponsors.
Abstracts: Abstracts will be reviewed by the organizing committee and assigned as either a oral talk or poster based on submission preferences and time availability. Please refer to the abstract submission page for details.
Eligibility: To ensure the event stays focused on its intended audience, we kindly ask that only individuals directly involved in aerospace research, design, and education, or those affiliated with relevant institutions, submit a registration. Registrations from individuals who do not meet these criteria may be subject to cancellation. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
