Session 1:
Ashley Hill
Keynote Speaker
What to Do When You’re Stuck
Dr. Ashley Hill received her BA in English from Haverford College, then attended UC Davis where she received her DVM (Mixed Animal specialty), Masters in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (MPVM), and PhD (Epidemiology). After spending 3 months in Denmark as a Guest Scientist, she joined Colorado State University for seven years as a postdoctoral scholar and then a faculty member, returning to UC Davis in 2011 as a faculty member at the California Animal Health & Food Safety Laboratory (CAHFS) within the School of Veterinary Medicine. She served as Director of the MPVM Program from 2013-2018. She is currently Associate Dean of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostics for the Vet School, the Director of CAHFS, and the President-Elect of the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians. Her research interests include musculoskeletal injuries in racehorses, infectious diseases of sheep and goats, and diagnostics of livestock and poultry. She has mentored 41 graduate students and co-authored 89 published research articles. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and cat, cooking, knitting, and sewing.

Increasing Universal Likability
Nathan Lee is a history teacher at Leland High School, where he teaches U.S. History and World History. Before entering education, he spent four years in Washington, D.C., studying and working in public affairs and political communication. He earned his degree from American University and later completed a Master’s in Teaching at Santa Clara University. Passionate about public speaking, he enjoys engaging students in discussions about history and political science. Outside the classroom, he spends his time playing basketball, watching documentaries, and hanging out with his cat.

Nikki Pulido
Nikki Pulido's is a California resident with experience in High Tech Silicon Valley roles, where she has contributed leadership to help organizations grow. She has built a strong network of people who follow and believe in her guidance. Nikki’s leadership has left a lasting impact, with people often asking, “What would Nikki do?” Her ability to stand alongside top leaders and earn their respect has been key to her success.

Andrea Badger has a bachelors degree in business from Cal Poly, SLO and a Master degree in educational leadership from SJSU. She has a passion for inspiring and empowering young leaders and has been doing so as a business and leadership teacher at Lynbrook High School for 22 years.

The Santa Clara County 4-H Ambassaodors are your hosts for this weekend's annual Leadership Overnight Conference.
The Santa Clara County 4-H Ambassadors rank is also a working honor that provides 4-H members the opportunity to serve the University of California 4-H Youth Development Program. Santa Clara County 4-H Ambassadors are youth who have excelled in the areas of leadership and service learning and have been selected to serve the 4-H Youth Development Program in roles that promote leadership through education and service.
