For current UC Davis undergraduate students in Environmental Science and Management (ESM) or Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning (EPAP)
Personalized Mentorship: Get matched with a mentor aligned with their interests/background and meet monthly.
Faculty Connection: Opportunities to attend weekly office hours with Dr. Gwen Arnold to discuss their plans and secure a faculty reference.
Career Insight Roundtables: Join two evening Zoom roundtables per quarter where multiple mentors share paths and lessons and answer questions.
Actionable Deliverables: Each quarter includes a short, focused assignment to move their goals forward.

"Guidance from graduate student mentors will help you learn to navigate the research university and use campus resources. Interaction with faculty and advisors will help you gain insights on how to pursue experience in a career path.
First-year students who participate in Career Discovery Groups (CDG) have higher GPAs and higher rates of retention at UC Davis.
Participants are more likely to complete internships and have career positions or acceptance to graduate or professional schools when they graduate" (College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences)
Student Eligibility:
College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES) incoming first-year and transfer students
