Project Description
Escapade is a podcast that takes an adventure into the different issues around certain ethnic groups and communities. The first episode will take a journey around the issues of colorism. The intention was to focus on how and why colorism is still perpetuated today, despite being overshadowed by racism and discrimination. This project’s inspiration was drawn upon the work of Isao Fujimoto and how identity plays a huge role in finding one’s purpose in creating change. From the creator herself, “I hope to inspire others into finding their purpose and to make that step within their community to create social change.”

Aubrey Miclat is a newly transfer at UC Davis who has an interest for change around socio-political issues within the Asian American community.
