Writing? Ahh it tells a lot about the writer. Everyone has his/her way of writing which is inspired by the preconceived notions and views formed during the journey of life. After reading the article, I feel that writing differs beyond languages. I may be translingual that will be driven from my country of origin and other countries where I have stayed during the journey of my life. As an Indian, I tend to build some local phrases in my writing which is basically a mix of English and Hindi, proverbs, grammar and language structures. I would consider one more example from my school life where we presented a drama that was a mix of French and English language. The script was very peculiar as even in case it was in French or English, it still had some grammatical structures which were borrowed from Hindi. Each participant rehearsed the dialogues and the diction was dictated by their native language. In the end, I would say, writing is different in all countries and also different from different set of people in the same country. This is highlighted in the common conversations to a greater extent and not visible in the academic writing. Academic writing involves technical phrases which are generally similar in languages and are not prone to any kind of different interpretations. In a nutshell, language differences are visible in non academic writing because of the reasons mentioned above.
