Interdistrict Transportation Competition

Welcome! The ITE at UC Davis is excited to announce that we will be hosting the 2025 Interdistrict Transportation Competition (ITC) this fall! The event will be held from Friday, November 14, to Sunday, November 16, 2025, on the UC Davis campus.

What is ITC?

ITC is a transportation design competition run by students for students. Students have the opportunity to team up in groups of 6 to 10 and collaborate to tackle a realistic transportation challenge. Each team will submit a project report with CAD illustrations and present their ideas in front of a judging panel.

Why ITC?

This event is a great opportunity for exploring planning and design in the transportation industry. Not only will you get to apply your skills to realistic challenges, but there will also be opportunities for networking, professional development, and meeting other transportation enthusiasts! We hope to see you there!

Event Activities

Competition

Teams of 6 - 10 students will collaborate to develop a solution to the transportation challenge presented in this year's prompt. Each team will present its work through a project report, CAD illustrations, and a presentation.

Career Fair

ITC will include a career fair featuring our wonderful sponsors! This is an amazing opportunity for students to network with transportation professionals and take their careers to the next step.

Workshops

At the workshop(s) of their choice, students will have the opportunity to learn skills and concepts from transportation planning and engineering experts.

Project Fair

After the main competition presentations, students will be grouped with 3-5 students from other universities to work on a fun and no-stakes transportation-related project. Projects will be shared with other ITC attendees at the project fair symposium.
