Democracy by Participation: The Life and Legacy of Cruz Reynoso

This digital exhibit is an extension of a physical exhibit that was displayed in Shields Library from Spring 2022 to Winter 2023, titled "Democracy by Participation: The Life and Legacy of Cruz Reynoso."

Cruz Reynoso was the first Latino Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court. His personal papers are housed at UC Davis and the materials seen in this digital exhibit are accessible to researchers and interested individuals. We encourage you to look at this exhibit to see the development of Justice Reynoso's political views, his time on the courts, and his later life and legacy. If you have any questions about the exhibit, please feel free to email Project Lead Daniel Castaneda at dancastaneda@ucdavis.edu.
