The UC Davis English Graduate Student Association & Critical Hit: Counterplay & Cultural Games Studies DHI Research Cluster proudly present Connections 2024, the 2nd Annual Conference of the UCD English Department.

From books to film, games to art, increasingly the medium itself carries weight in how people interact with a works’ message. This conference features the work of scholars from any humanities discipline that considers, at least in part, the role that medium plays in a works message. We welcome scholars of all experience levels and interested in all topics. We are interested in exploring the in-betweens that are often overlooked when we build barriers between media as “different.”
