Welcome to CoLLab!

In the Cognition of Language Lab (CoLLab), we investigate into the cognitive processes that contribute to human language processing, how linguistic variables affect subsequent memory, and how memory and language functions change with age. This line of our work is funded by an NIH Research Enhancement Award (R15).

We also study the effect of information entropy (i.e., uncertainty about upcoming input) on human language processing in real time, as well as subsequent memory. This line of our research is funded by an NSF CAREER award.

We use behavioral, eye-tracking, and electroencephalography (EEG) to investigate our questions.

If you are interested in our research and would like to join the lab, do not hesitate to get in touch with me at h.karimi@msstate.edu.
