I'm a linguist who specializes in applied language technology. My projects investigate how linguistics can be leveraged to improve machine learning models and how synthetic voices are perceived.
I'm a postdoc at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Learn more about our project that uses linguistically-informed features to improve prediction in audio deepfake detection models. Click here to learn more about my plan for next steps in our research.
I also research how users' beliefs about voice-AI unconsciously affect their linguistic behavior. Read about that project here.
